Boston Scientific to cut 175 jobs in Galway

Some 175 people are to lose their jobs at the Boston Scientific plant in Galway.

The American company, which has been in Galway for 16 years, makes medical devices.

It currently employs 3,000 people in Galway.

In a statement, Boston Scientific said it remains strongly committed to its Irish operations.
