Five held in Donegal anti-terror swoop

Five suspected dissident republicans were arrested today in a series of raids in Donegal.

GardaĆ­ said the men, aged from their 40s to their 60s, were detained under anti-terror laws as part of an ongoing operation.

Four men were arrested in Letterkenny shortly after midnight and the fifth man was held in a raid in Buncrana this morning.

GardaĆ­ said all five were being detained under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Two men were being questioned in Letterkenny, two in Milford and another in Buncrana garda stations.
