Man seriously hurt in Westmeath collision

A man is in a serious condition in hospital following a single-vechicle collision in Co Westmeath this morning.

A van collided with a wall at around 7.10am on the N52 Mullingar to Delvin road at the Cloghan Inn.

The road is now closed and diversions are in place via Killucan until further notice.

GardaĆ­ and emergency services attended the scene. The man was taken by ambulance to the Midlands Regional Hospital at Mullingar.
