Hundreds of people have turned out in Fenagh in Co Leitrim this afternoon to pay their final respects to Garda Gary Mc Loughlin.

The 24-year-old died from injuries he sustained in a crash while in the line of duty in Co Donegal last weekend.

The Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy and the Justice Minister Dermot Ahern along with many of Garda Mc Loughlin's colleagues and friends from Templemore were in attendance.

Both the President and the Taoiseach were represented at the mass by their aide de comps.
