Met Eireann forecasts snow for today

Motorists are being urged to take extreme care on the roads this morning.

Although temperatures didn't fall as low as recent nights, many road around counties Donegal, Monaghan, Cavan, Longford, Westmeath and Leitrim remain dangerous.

GardaĆ­ are still advising motorists not to travel unless absolutely necessary.

Michael McAullife from Met Eireann said the frost may be gone in some part but there is snow on the way later.
