GlaxoSmithKline to close Sligo plant
11/11/2009 - 10:01:53Up to 250 jobs are to go in Sligo with the closure of Stiefel Laboratories.
The facility, which was bought by GlaxoSmithKline in July, is to cease operations after a global review by GSK found under-utilised capacity.
The plant, which makes skin products, will be closed by the end of 2013, by which time production of all products is being transferred to alternative facilities.
