Suspended duo return for Candystripes
06/11/2009 - 10:29:32

Derry City have a chance of finishing third in the league if they beat Dundalk at Oriel Park tonight, kick-off 7.45pm.

Despite reports of players not training, an official Dundalk statement revealed that: “The first team squad has trained as normal this week on Monday and Tuesday with a rest day assigned on Wednesday and a full training schedule on Thursday, ahead of the final league game against Derry City on Friday night.”

Manager Sean Connor will have to plan without suspended duo Shaun Kelly and Paul McAreavey.

Kevin McKinlay and Michael Collins miss out through injury, while Alex Williams is doubtful.

For City, Gareth McGlynn and Tam McManus both return from suspension and Sammy Morrow may be in line to start after coming on as a sub last week.

Stephen Gray and Thomas Stewart remain out injured, while Liam Kearney misses out through suspension.

Veteran defender Peter Hutton is likely to play his last game for the club as he will not be at the Brandywell next season.
