08/11/2009 - 10:15:10

Rory McIlroy is back into second place on the European money list with two weeks left and has cut Lee Westwood’s lead to just over €50,000

The pair, who finished fourth and eighth respectively at the WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, now head to the Hong Kong Open.

First prize there is around 280,000, which means the Order of Merit cannot be decided until the concluding Dubai World Championship starting on Thursday week.

The winner of that earns around €840,000.
