Four blasts hit southern Afghanistan city

Four explosions have occurred in the city of Kandahar in southern Afghanistan today, police said.

Deputy provincial police chief Mohammad Shad Farooqi said the explosions were reported across the city – near a hotel, a prison, a mosque and at an intersection in the centre of Kandahar.

There is no word yet on whether there are casualties and police are investigating the incidents.
